DJ's adapter has a parser that just looks for text strings, it has logic but it's meant to look random. Hopefully he allows us to add our own author and description in the future. It finds some funny strings in the MSX conversions ...

You can speedup MAME with a hotkey (F10 usually). That will also speed up communications and DJ's adapter will happily reply to the TCP messages as fast as MAME requests.

Sorry for the late reply. I could be wrong but I think it might just be a baud rate setting in MAME.

I doubt it's a MAME issue, my guess would be a permission error with NABU Internet Adapter. Check what your store folder is set to in the IA settings > RetroNet. Does it have read and write access to the store folder?

mame.exe uses the V9938/F18A patch
mame-40col.exe for stock NABU TMS9918A

I might change it, not sure which should be the default but I know people will like 80 columns more.
