Re: What monitor do you use?

I wonder if these sorts of things actually emulate those crt characteristics.

Cool retro term is really great, but useful mostly for a linux shell. I do play some text-based games with Cool Retro Term enabled on this prop 70's PC build:

Re: What monitor do you use?

I think the smart play is to go with a TV over a monitor (if looking at an older 4:3 CRT) So far, I've tried the following using composite out on the Nabu: Amdek Color I monitor. Result: picture that strobes rapidly. Daewoo D13CM ( a.k.a Commodore 1802 rev3) Result: greyscale image. Generic 9" ...

Slide Show Gallery 1.2b - Did not receive a hello message

When trying to use the RetroNET slideshow I'm getting the error: Serial: Did not receive a hello message. Got DC. Restarting. Serial: Did not receive a hello message. Got DC. Restarting. Re: New to NABU and have a technical question

Thanks. It could be a defective component, though I think it's even more likely the NABU generates a nonstandard NTSC signal that relies on TV circuitry to resolve. Here's a video describing the out-of-spec signal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7FuUbo2Dag Based on this I fear there may be nothing...

New to NABU and have a technical question

Hi and thanks for setting up this forum! I got a NABU and have had great luck in getting it up and running. I built the serial adapter cable, the fake fairchild controller and filed down the the fan and had a good time trying out the new online resources. I do have a technical issue I'm hoping to fi...
