Re: New Old User

Hey, that is a great old photo. Classic debugging focus. Here is a similar photo I pulled from our 1980/1981 School Yearbook. Our "Computer Lab" which shared a room with the full drum kit for the school band. There was one computer for about 300 students and I was one of a half dozen stude...

Re: How many more will there be?

Yup, Colonials peddling Nabu Computers, Fire Water and Iphones. Scribble up a few treaties, what could go wrong?

@twenex. I will meet the Van in Regina and pick up a couple of those smuggled NABU's. ;)

Re: How many more will there be?

Unfortunately Pellmill only does international shipping via ebay. No discounts to Canada, $79 US ends up $200 Canadian by the time it hits my door. Still cheap for New Retro Computer that is built like a tank.

Re: How many more will there be?

Price is up to $ 99.00 US on latest batch. I received my second NABU computer. Quick test and it goes back in it's box. My wife questioned the rational of a second NABU computer. I guess I will skip my next hair cut / pedicure / body care products purchase, to finance. I now have a "Nabu...

Re: Nick's NABU History Hijack 'A'

Cool Story. So that was the only run of NABU's off-shore? Total of less than 11,000 units manufactured? 2200 of them ended up in the hands of PellMill.

Re: How many more will there be?

He was also selling directly through his website so it's hard to tell exactly how many are left. As he gets down to final batches one would think the price would go up. Doesn't matter to me, I have one working unit and one one more on it's way for parts, if need be. May have some 'splaining to do to...

How many more will there be?

So ebay Pellmil-IIc has finished another batch. I grabbed another NABU (for a spare or parts down the road) when there was a handful left. Anybody have any inside info on whether he has more? Just Curious. I thought I saw Leo post that this could be the last batch, then the post seemed to disappear?...

Thanks for sharing Dave. I'm Jealous of your programming skills. I haven't written much more than One-Off scripts as required for Network Admin Duties over the last 20 years. 40+ years ago had a blast writing Yahtzee and Stock Ticker Games on Commodore PET BASIC then ported to Apple II BASIC. Then l...

Re: Pi Zero W inside

Very nicely done. Looking forward to doing this on my NABU. I hope I can fit A+ model in there somehow, otherwise a Pi Zero W will have to do. Thanks for posting the picture.

Hobby time won't return until the snow flies in November. Too many outside projects in the summertime.
