Re: NOOB trying to build Hello World - help please..
Thank very much for that! I’m not a YouTube person - I’m sure there are others too ;) so I was thinking of writing it up as I go for a simple “get started” for others! I see this as a great system to get people into programming and others like me - not programmed in 30 years - back into it! So I was...

Re: Pi Inside
Will go with the Pi3B, toying with the idea of using it to make the NABU a sort of 8bit Media Controller of some kind on the TV rack! Could be fun!
Well, its an idea in the making!

Re: RS-422 to Ethernet
All true, thanks for the reply! Lots of things to think about! To really take advantage of the adapter I would need to have ethernet available in the TV cabinet, which I don't at this stage. I've 100% decided thats where I want it to go when it arrives! Lots of things to consider.. I (when I get it)...

Re: Pi Inside
The 1b will be fine if you remove desktop mode. The internet adapter only needs console text so it’ll run much faster if graphics are disabled :) All true! I was toying with the idea that seeing that it does not have WiFi and that I will need a WiFi USB anyway, perhaps I could mount it internally a...

Re: Pi Inside
Yup. It’ll run on pretty much anything. Doesn’t really do a lot. Not cpu intensive at all Fired up the old Pi (its a 1B), with the GUI I forgot how slow they are ;) I think I will stick with the plan to use the Pi3B as it also has WiFi onboard, the old Pi does not! Will make life easier overall! Ju...

Re: Pi Inside
I have a Pi and Network Adapter question, I found my spare Pi's, I was looking for my 3b+ (its in the 4b box) and also found an older Pi I forgot I had, its either a 1B or 2A I can't recall. Would that be sufficient to run the software?

Re: What monitor do you use?
We only have a small LCD in the lounge (33" SONY) and it works great with my Laserdisc player in both PAL & NYSC modes so I'm assuming NANU composite output will work fine with it directly?
