Re: What monitor do you use?

I would love to have a CRT as an option. They're getting pretty expensive & take up a lot of space so I haven't been able to justify it. LCD has been "good enough."

I found them on Amazon too. About $25 here in the States. Not sure what they were on Ali.

Re: EEPROM & Programmer Recommendations

This is the upgrade to the TL866II Plus but I've been told it doesn't work with the open-source MiniPro software so you may *HAVE* to use their Windows software. Maybe that's ok.

Re: EEPROM & Programmer Recommendations

Oh man, you *JUST* missed the clearance on these: https://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&productId=2297823. I just got this last week because it supposedly is one of the ones known to work well with non-Windows software (ht...

Re: What monitor do you use?

I only tried it on one nabu but I couldn’t get the hdmi adapter to sync. If I turned it on and off a hundred times it would eventually sync once. It’s the same adapter I haven’t tried it on my other Nabus yet though - just one. So I use rca to the tv I prefer the lcd over crt actually. My crt is a ...

Re: Nabu video

Thanks DJ for the recommendation. My current method is age appropriate for the Nabu, mine is probably older than the nabu: desolder.jpg Got the chips & sockets so will be doing the old heat, suck, wick... repeat. This is exactly what I have currently. It works ok-ish but you kind of need 3 hand...

Re: What monitor do you use?

I just use an old 4:3 19" LCD monitor with a composite to HDMI adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RX69KR8). It's a tad fuzzy but there's a YouTube video out there (don't have it handy) that talks about adding a resistor to the composite cable to improve colors. I tried the hack &...

Re: Nabu video

Oh that's too bad. You know what? I needed a solder sucker at my cabin last summer. I found this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0932TJX9X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have to say, it's pretty awesome. I actually really enjoy using it and for the price, you can...
