I guess I’m a caveman.
Bending the blades a little seemed less destructive than filing or dremeling. Ook ook?

Re: Stabilant 22A
How does Deoxit compare to this stuff? i think deoxit is just a contact cleaner? Where stabiliaiaiaiant leaves behind a small amount of conductive residue. They make quite a few different products. I recently picked up some of their “FaderLube”, which is intended for conductive controls like slider...

Hardware keyboard converter
Here's something I just hacked together: https://youtu.be/agBKHlDs67U I need to call it a day, so the details are a little light now, but there's not much magic to it. What's needed to replicate this is an Adafruit Trinket M0 , a TTL to RS422 converter (I'm using an RS485 one because it's what I had...

nabu.run 1.1
I updated https://nabu.run to v1.1.0. The major new feature is TCP support... more specifically, WebSockets. Browsers don't have the ability to listen on a raw TCP port like other adapters, but they can connect out over WebSockets. So with the use of a small proxy, it's now possible to use nabu.run ...

Re: About nabu.run
Fair point. I can think of a few "all I have is a browser" scenarios. It's also ultimately portable since Chrome has already done all the work. Works on Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS.. I just tested on a Raspberry Pi, didn't have to worry about having an ARM build or anything, just opened...

Re: MAME newbie could really use some advice
I can get into the tab menu once, before starting emulation, but then none of the keys seem to work regardless of how I've assigned them.
I can try your configs, maybe that will help.
Yes! That did it, now F3 works to reset it, I can get into the menus, etc. Thanks very much!

About nabu.run
Hello forum folks! I see that someone decided I get a section here :-) so I figured I'd write in a little introduction. My first thought was there are at least 4 "internet adapters" out there already... why did I make another one? It was basically a proof of concept. I was talking to a fri...

MAME newbie could really use some advice
Hello folks, Being able to use MAME for testing things would be really convenient, but for the fact that I can't quite figure it out. I want to preface this by noting I'm using a Mac, so while the Windows version from gtamp.com works great out of the box, I'm struggling a lot to replicate the experi...
