Re: MacOS: NABU Internet Adaptor fails to start

I don't mess with disabling any security settings, I just try to run it once, and after it fails there's an "Open anyway" option in the Privacy and Security preferences.

Re: RS-422 to Ethernet

I think we covered it on Discord, but as this is a more permanent record, I'll say here as well: the slowness with the RS-422 to Ethernet bridge seems to come from the host software, not the hardware. This was discussed a while back when I got mine ( Discord link, for those who partake ) and we came...

Re: NABU BASIC Manual?

NABU Logo is rather impressive. It has a full-screen editor, combined text and graphics modes, modular package management, etc. Logo is a Lisp dialect and should get more credit, but it was mostly associated with toy programming for kids.

Re: NABU BASIC Manual?

The only known copy is in the collection of York University. https://museum.eecs.yorku.ca/collections/show/6 It was given to them by a forum member. Unfortunately, it seems like they just squirreled it away, so unless another one turns up, its contents are a mystery. There is, at least, a scan of th...

Re: RS-422 to Ethernet

I am using exactly that box with my NABU. There is no reason to dink around with virtual com ports, just set it to TCP Client mode and have it connect to your internet adapter of choice. They all support this method, since it's what MAME uses. Personally, I have nabud running on a linux server so it...

Re: Version 2.0

This inspired me to do something extremely lazy. F8734647-78DE-4E8E-B975-5825DE135D71_1_105_c.jpeg (Not very visible under there is a row of pin headers with A12 removed) I did wire it to the CH3/4 switch afterward so I wouldn't have to keep taking the cover off and moving the grabber. I think this ...
