I've attached a patch file against Brian's latest keyboard emulation update.
Noice! Good work - glad that was useful to you

Who created the F18a NABU MAME version? Have the changes been made available on github or some other usable form for compiling (non-Windows)?

Thanks.
I responded and never got an acknowledgment ;) You're welcome lol

Nice patch, thanks.

I added it to the latest Windows build: https://gtamp.com/nabu/nabu-mame.zip

mame.exe uses the V9938/F18A patch
mame-40col.exe for stock NABU TMS9918A

I might change it, not sure which should be the default but I know people will like 80 columns more.

I've modified GTAMP's batch files to ask users if they want a 40- or 80-column display. I haven't tried 80-column display on floppy-boot.bat, so I don't know if it works on that.

Ok, got my F18a hardware from arcadeshop. I know somewhere I saw pics of it installed, but can't find any. Installed it the way I think I recalled seeing, but when I turned the Nabu on there was no output through VGA. Help?

Pin 1 is marked on the board. It should be towards the back of the case.

Also you need to check the jumpers are set right for the nabu.

I just wanted to chime in and say this works very well!

I just installed an F18A Mk1 in my NABU and fired up this through the RetroNET channel, and it worked first try without any issues.

(Ignore the slightly wonky output, I'm using a lower end TV that has a VGA input right now)
