John Shortt was cleaning out his garage, and offered me an Osborne 1, so I gladly took it, but I'll have to put it off as a project until next year. So many NABU projects not finished yet:

Anyone around with advice for it?

You know what would be really cool - is if you ripped out the guts and made it into a fish tank.

I'm kidding, of course. I hate when people do crap like that.

That's a small screen - way smaller than on my Kaypros. You should get a Blade Runner-style screen magnifier to make it easier to read.

I showed it to my grandchildren, and they noted the screen had less real estate than their phones. When I told them it wasn't colour, they laughed, and then asked where the mouse was. Then I laughed.

I'm surprised they knew what a mouse was. Isn't everything touchscreen and touchpad these days? In a few years, the kids will say, "You mean you actually have to touch the screen? Where's the eye scanner or brain interface?"

As for the 5" screen, I've got a 1" CRT that I once connected a TI-99 to. Even with the magnifier, it killed my eyes.
("My eyes! The goggles do nothing!")
