Re: Using the option slots
There are NABU backplane based CF card, Arduino based card and a PIC18F serial/SD cards that people have done so far in various stages. I've seen a generic protoboard for the NABU too. I have been thinking about a design for a few weeks that would adapt a RC2014/RCBus 80/40 pin card to the NABU bus ...

Re: New Old User
Yeah, I didn't like too many pics of myself being taken as I was always self conscious about it for some reason. My mother must of snuck up on me. The wall paper is long gone. Well that wall is gone too as the new buyers took two walls in the kitchen out to make the kitchen and dining/living room on...

I've been here early on from the start of the forum so this is long over due. Always loved HW and SW but from a gaming point of view just kinda mild. I used to play on my girlfriend's Atari 2600 as well as hitting the arcades. I have a lot of plans for the NABU with the parallel port driving SPI com...

John, Make sure you don't have any 'A' disk drive files in you 'store' directory location. 'A' disk drive should go to 'temp' directory location and it will update here if new 'A' disk images are available. For some reason I experienced what you your experiencing on the latest disk image with the ne...

Re: Nabu video
BTW, to do this I am hijacking the serial out from HCCA and banging out text to see what is happening. Since I don't have any EEPROM's yet to program I am doing this by starting up the IA and the Nabu which luckily still loads the test code and runs it. Once serial data starts spitting out the HCCA...

Re: Cloud CPM F18a 80-Column
It sure does look sharp... Yes, This is the original F18A that Hans had for sale awhile back for US$100. The MK1 should work too.

Re: 8251A introduction
I assume I'm still running into some baudrate mis-match that the VT510 can't handle. I tried rigging up a Pico to translate the baudrates but I wasn't successful. Nabu (TX) -> (RX) RS232-TTL adapter (TX) -> (RX) Pico UART1 @ 111875 -> [ CircuitPython ] -> Pico UART2 @ 115200 (TX) -> (RX) TTL-RS232 ...

Re: 8251A introduction
The following pictures are from the RS232 adapter to the Esprit serial to VGA terminal. Three connections: +5, GND and TX data. Basic connection is good at 115.2k baud.
