Yeah, I didn't know the NABU had colour clash until I tried converting images that should have worked, but didn't. I can't complain because when that video chip came out (1979?), 16 simultaneous colours was pretty impressive.
But if it wasn't for the colour clash, and a different palette, it could display (in lower resolution) stuff like this, which is also 16 colours:

Correct, the video chip came out from Texas Instruments in 1979. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TMS9918
Though surprisingly the Intel 8086 CPU came out in 1978. The Z80 in 1976, and 8080 in 1974. Development and obsolescence were happening very quickly then!

Where is Pong Wars? I looked for it, but didn't see it. (maybe my eyes are too old)
Re: Psssst try new slidesho before the video
#NthPongWars is a game I'm working on. The original was a web browser Javascript version at https://pong-wars.koenvangilst.nl/ and that seemed like a good thing to implement as a way of learning to program the Nabu. I've kept a blog of what I did to make it at https://www.agmsmith.ca/WeekendReports/ ... sBlog.html (also on my home web server, but that isn't always up), latest entry is at the bottom and there are some video clips of the game under construction. Anyway, I'm currently doing level files, which can load screens and music and level maps and so on.
Re: Psssst try new slidesho before the video
Ah, that explains it. I need to set my time machine for next year sometime. In fact, I think I'll pop into the future right now, try the game then come back and tell you how it turns out. (...assuming my time machine doesn't break and I end up stranded in the far future with those damn Morlocks...)
Re: Psssst try new slidesho before the video
Once it's getting closer to having gameplay, I'll post a .nabu file you can run. Maybe people will make their own levels!
