NABU at Pacific Northwest Commodore Expo

Post by twenex »

Commodore?? .. yes, but NABU! (and Jim Butterfield was a canuck)

A NABU will be on display with access to the excellent NABU RetroNET through the Internette Adaptor. Amazing strides in recovery and building of a host infrastructure to realize NABU's full potential won its place on a table.

Saturday June 24th and Sunday June 25th 11a-5p both days (free)
3100 Airport Way S, Seattle WA 981134

Your videos have also given great insight for new NABUers. From bricked relic to a treasure. Long live nabu.ca!

Great! Attendance was about 41 Saturday total and then repeats on Sunday with about 10 new faces.

I did a pretty rambly presentation on the NABU which may show up on Youtube at some point I'm told.

But this morning, I saw this:

I really hope that those NABUs find new owners soon. It looks like they interviewed DJ.

2023 is the Year of NABU??

2023 does seem to include a lot of ooey gooey NABUy goodness.

I'm glad you entertained some neophytes about NABU.

I’m bringing 3 to VCFMW with various options, f18a, tn-vdp, floppy controller, working 5.25” drives, GoTek drives and a variety of adapters. I’m curious what you learned from doing this, what went well, and what didn’t? What would you do differently if you did it again? How’d you handle network?

Any pointers would be most appreciated.
