Re: More progress on the NABU USB Converter

Are you considering the 4 port version? :) :) :) Not really. That would involve almost starting over from scratch. Sufficiently motivated parties are welcome to fork the project. My goal is to put it to bed this week and find a new distraction. I don’t even want this box for myself, it was just a f...

More progress on the NABU USB Converter

Rev 1 of the circuit board is done and, to my surprise, it works. I made a low-effort video demo... https://youtu.be/FDYvlxHG-2Q I will do another spin of this board with some mostly cosmetic improvements, but having this built is enough to let me start properly working on the software and an enclos...

Re: RS-422 to Ethernet

A few people have talked about putting an ESP32 in there, which I personally think is the way to go to get WiFi. But I'm not sure any of them have quite reached production readiness. The "easy" way is to have it serve up the serial port over TCP, but it's more than powerful enough to run a...

Re: Multiplayer Games

https://github.com/DJSures/NABU-LIB/tree/main/NABULIB functions as documentation; the headers and implementation are easy to read. There is also the NHACP protocol, which is isn't used by as many things but it does have a protocol doc that reads kind of like an RFC with all the MUSTs and MAYs. https...

Re: RS-422 to Ethernet

I (when I get it) want to set my NABU as originally intended in the lounge on the TV and to this end I was considering using a spare Pi3B I have and fitting it internally to the NABU? How do you think this would compare with using the Ethernet adapter? Ethernet adapter: NABU is now available over t...

nabu.run 1.3

I updated https://nabu.run to v1.3.0. This release has the major addition of support for the NHACP protocol in addition to RetroNET, which means it can run Ishkur CP/M. I've added that to the menu, along with the 80-column F18A version of Cloud CP/M.
